Successful historic financial rounds

When founded, in 1997, Intercell managed to attract more than EUR 3.6 million in venture capital. In addition, Intercell received subsidies from the Austrian Industrial Research Promotion Fund (FFF), the Vienna Business Agency (WWFF) and the Austrian Business Angels Network. A second investment phase in 2001 resulted in a substantial infusion of new capital of EUR 27 million, which at the time was the largest venture capital transaction ever undertaken in Austria. A third financial round in 2003 raised a total of EUR 43.5 million.

In February 2005, Intercell went public on the Vienna Stock Exchange and raised EUR 52.5 million.

In June 2006, Intercell launched a Second Public Offering, which resulted in a total offering volume of EUR 110.6 million and approximately 55.4 million net proceeds for Intercell.
