Mustapha (Staph) Leavenworth Bakali

Staph Bakali is the former COO of ID Biomedical, where he played a significant role in transforming the company from an R&D organization into a fully-integrated biotech company and its subsequent acquisition by GlaxoSmithKline in 2005. He holds a master's degree in Management from the University of London. Previously, Staph Bakali was COO of PowderJect Pharmaceuticals plc, the Director of Worldwide Sales and Marketing of Chiron Corporation's Vaccines Division and member of the supervisory board of Napo Pharmaceutical Inc. 

He is currently active as a member of the Supervisory Boards of Osisco Mining Corporation and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LeapFrog Investments. In February 2009, he was appointed President and CEO of Genocea Biosciences.
